Avaye Mohabbat

Davod Azad is a renowned Iranian traditional musician and one of the most respected modern artists of the Persian Sufi music. He is virtuoso in playing the tar, setar, tanboor, oud, and daf.

For the last 30 years he has performed in Sufi gatherings and international concerts around the world and has published many albums such as, Nour e Jan, Mey e Birangi and The Divan of Rumi & Bach, which is an outstanding album dedicated to Rumi; a fusion of Persian traditional music and Rumi’s poetry with Johann Sebastian Bach’s famous melodies.

Avaye Mohabbat” by Maestro Davod Azad is a beautiful program organized by a group of volunteers and artists who are inviting you to be carried deeply into an inner journey towards peace. This is no ordinary concert; it’s a transformative experience that moves the audience to love, compassion, and kindness.

This event took place at Richmond Hilll Centre on Saturday January 16, 2016 and was a unique experience that blends powerful music, mesmerizing singing, spiritual philosophy, and dance to touch people’s heart and encourage them to step forward in helping and supporting those in need.

Avaye Mohabbat, took place at Richmond Hilll Centre for the Performing Arts on Saturday January 16, 2016 and all the proceeds went to Kahrizak Foundation in Iran.
